Frequently Asked Questions

What does the course include?

Students develop problem-solving and logical thinking skills through hands-on, project-based activities that incorporate key STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Maths) principles. They may:
  • Build and code their own robots
  • Complete challenges using ready-built robots
  • Tackle virtual adventures and puzzles that involve coding
  • Take part in engineering projects where they design, test, and build various models
  • Use mathematical concepts to calculate, estimate, and apply problem-solving in real-world contexts
  • Create digital animations and explore digital tools and applications
  • Engage in STEAM-based activities that spark creativity, innovation, and critical thinking
  • Learn how to break down problems into simpler steps
Activities are tailored to the student’s age and ability level using a variety of age-appropriate tools, gadgets, and technologies.

What does a typical day look like?

  • 2-hour morning session (sometimes split into two 1-hour blocks)
  • 30-minute lunch and free play
  • 2-hour afternoon session
Students work in small teams and individually, with a focus on collaboration, creativity, and logical thinking. They’ll use different robotics kits and gadgets throughout the course.

Will the activities this year be the same as last year’s?

Not at all!!

While returning students might be familair with some of the robots and tools, every course is carefully crafted to offer a fresh experience. We introduce new activities, challenges, and projects that are tailored to specific age groups and skill levels. Each year brings new opportunities for returning students to explore more advanced challenges, ensuring the experience remains exciting and unique.

We continuously refresh our content to guarantee that all learners – whether new or returning – are consistently engaged, inspired, and supported as they grow.

What’s the difference between the 2-day and 3-day programmes?

Both cover the same core skills and use the same robotics kits.

The 3-day option simply includes extra activities and challenges.

Can my child attend all 5 days?

While we don’t offer a dedicated 5-day programme, your child is very welcome to attend for the full week and many students have done so in the past.

Please note that the Monday/Friday and Tuesday to Thursday sessions include similar content. While there is repetition, we adapt the activities to keep students challenged and engaged throughout. However, it’s important that your child is aware of this in advance.

If you’re interested, feel free to contact us for details about the discounted 5-day rate.

Do you provide a transport service?

COOP Services Ltd will be offering transport for students attending robocoach summer courses across Malta and Gozo, subject to sufficient demand and at an additional charge.

If you are interested, please indicate this when submitting your registration. Further details on how to apply through COOP Services Ltd will then be provided.
