COURSES FOR
KIDS
This course will walk you through the fundamentals of programming while exploring the features found in the Sphero Edu app and applying the concepts of coding to execute the tasks presented using the sphero mini robot. The course takes a deep dive into Draw and Block Based programming. Once these skills have been mastered, JavaScript text programming will be the next challenge. We’ll wrap it up with suggested activities that one can carry on exploring after the course is over with your own mini sphero robot that will be given to take home and continue implementing coding at home.
By the end of this course students will demonstrate a mastery of block programming by manipulating sensors, loops, conditionals, variables, and functions. At the end of the course, they compete through an obstacle course to show the skills learnt. The course includes development of spatial awareness and mathematical calculations and concepts. According to their entry level, they are taught how to think about a problem and break it down into simpler solutions by remembering the basics and working their way up. So regardless of age they will advance according to their ability.
